We see it every weekend at our venues: a bride arrives with a breathtaking gown zipped inside crinkly plastic or a thin nylon sleeve wearing some boutique's logo. Months of searching for the dress — and nobody thought to ask what the dress would live in.
The Mariée is the answer. A garment bag cut from our exclusive breathable bonded lace — a fabric made just for us, beautiful enough for the morning-of photographs and built for the decades after. Breathable matters more than it sounds: plastic traps moisture and yellows a gown over the years. Lace lets her breathe. It's what a preservationist would choose, wearing what a bride would choose.
Built for the real dress. Seventy-two inches long with a deep ten-inch gusset and a structured bottom insert — ballgowns, cathedral trains, and all the tulle fit without crushing. She hangs straight, stores flat, and photographs like part of the wedding, because she will be in the pictures whether you plan it or not.
The charm is the signature. A solid brass Japanese hook hangs at the zipper, holding an antiqued oval medallion hand-stamped in our Louisiana studio with your wedding date, running down the oval the way dates run down a family Bible's first page. It isn't sewn on. That's deliberate: after the wedding it lifts off and clips to whatever carries your story next — and the hook stays, waiting.
There's a second medallion in the box, and it's blank. We call it the kept tag. It's for the day this bag is passed on — when a daughter borrows the veil, or the dress, and a new date is stamped beside the first. Two dates on one hook. We don't monogram. We make room for the next name.
