How it ships: the box arrives first, personalized and ready. Then, starting the following month, one edition arrives every month — twelve months for The Year, six for The Six. A card inside the box tells you (or whoever you're gifting) exactly what's coming.

You know the rhyme. We added a line.

Something Kept is a small flat envelope that arrives once a month, from our Louisiana studio to your door. Inside: one small thing worth keeping — a block print pulled by hand, a brass coin stamped with your date, a letter set cut from thousand-year paper — and one card with a question for the two of you, and something to do about it.

That's the whole idea. You do the thing. You write the answer. You keep both.

It isn't a box of merchandise. It's how the box gets full.

Most wedding keepsakes are collected by accident — whatever survives the day ends up in a drawer. Something Kept is the opposite: twelve months of small, on-purpose keeping, timed to the season you're already in. By the end, your EVR Box holds the story of your engagement in your own handwriting — how you met, your song, the letters you sealed and haven't opened, the blessing cards from the people who love you. Half of it made by us. Half of it written by you.

Twelve editions. Everyone starts at No. 1.

The editions are a canon, numbered like prints. Whenever you join, you begin at the beginning:

No. 1 — The Swallows · No. 2 — The Sixpence · No. 3 — The Dance Card · No. 4 — The Seal · No. 5 — The Letters · No. 6 — The Ordinary · No. 7 — The Something Blue · No. 8 — The Warming · No. 9 — The Recipe · No. 10 — The Cork & The Toast · No. 11 — The Vow Books · No. 12 — The Day, Kept

What's inside each one stays a surprise — that's half the ritual. We'll say this much: No. 1 asks you a question you've probably never been asked. What do they do that they don't know you love? You'll each write your answer separately, and seal them, unread.

Made in-house, every one. Every edition is printed, pressed, stamped, or cut in our own studio — the same hands that make the box.

It begins with the box. Every subscription starts the same way: The EVR Box arrives first — linen, cedar-floored, your initials cut from thousand-year paper at the heart of the lid — ready to hold everything that's coming. Then, the month after, the envelopes begin: one a month, every month, each one finding its way into the box.

The gift that keeps arriving. Something Kept is the one to give: the box arrives ready to hold everything, and then — for a year after the wedding shower, long after the other gifts are put away — an envelope keeps showing up with their names on it. If you're giving it, we include a blank note card for your own words, and a little printed card explaining what arrives each month.
