The EVR Box was created for this reason: to keep your memories safe when you want to relive your origin story. An heirloom with a story of its own. The old Korean papermakers had a saying: silk lasts five hundred years — paper, a thousand. The lace scrollwork detailing on the lid of The EVR Box is cut and fused from hanji — paper made from the bark of a mulberry tree — and hand-set, one box at a time, in our Louisiana studio. Your initials and year are cut from the same paper and set at the heart of the cartouche. No ink, no plaque — just paper, holding your names.
By tradition, this paper was what marriage letters were written on — and a bride kept hers all her life. We believe everyone has a beautiful story to tell, and what better way to start than with a keepsake that already tells its own.
